I'm Ulas Tan Ersoyak, a Computer Science master's student at the University of Antwerp, based in Belgium
I'm currently doing research on a MAC-layer scheduler for NB-IoT devices. You can look at my projects here.
Experience
- Intern — TÜBİTAK BİLGEM İLTAREN, Ankara (2025). BİLGEM is the informatics and defence-electronics centre of TÜBİTAK, Turkey's national research council. I wrote bare-metal drivers for the avionics of the KAAN fighter jet, built encryption and decryption IP cores on FPGA with Vitis HLS, and made custom embedded Linux images with PetaLinux and Yocto.
- Intern — Gurbağ Savunma, Ankara (2023). An Ankara-based defence company that develops loitering munitions and unmanned systems. I worked on target position estimation, fusing GPS and IMU data with a Kalman filter.
- Intern — Mersin Teknopark, Mersin (2022). A technology development zone that hosts R&D and robotics companies. I tested a robot's autonomous driving in a ROS 2 simulation and wrote motor drivers for a prototype.
Education
- MSc Computer Science, University of Antwerp (2026–2028, expected).
- BSc Software Engineering, Toros University (2021–2025). I built pp as my thesis.
- Erasmus+ exchange, AGH University of Krakow (2022).
